Big Ten Network’s Interactive LiveCasts Great Success

Big Ten Network has launched LiveCast offering on Aug. 30 on its first anniversary of the launch of the sports network. Big Ten Network joined with the leading producer of interactive broadcasts; Jacked, Inc provided Big Ten fans with the LiveCast offering. The Big Ten Network announced that the interactive broadcast ‘Jacked’s SportsTop’ offered to fasn provided great success, as half of all fans who visited sports network’s website BigTenNetwork.com also tried Big Ten LiveCasts. The average usage of visitors works about to 40 minutes during each visit.

Big Ten Network and Jacked, Inc. are providing local LiveCasts for all 11 teams in the conference throughout the 2008-2009 NCAA football and basketball seasons. The interactive broadcast gets the sports network fans in the game with cross-platform chats, stats, news, trivia, video and photos. The interactive broadcast currently supports all NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL games and also NCAA football and basketball games.

“We know Big Ten fans enjoy interacting with each other, especially on football Saturdays,” said Michael Calderon, the Big Ten Network’s director of new media. “Since the start of the season, thousands of Big Ten fans have been taking advantage of the interactivity of Jacked’s customizable second screen experience.”
