ESPN has reached a deal with Setanta Sports to cover England’s Football League and Carling Cup tournaments. This deal will allow ESPN to provide live coverage of about 100 English soccer matches on ESPN360.com. ESPN’s broadband sports television network will deliver two Football League matches a week, which will total to about more than 80 matches this season.
The Football League, also known as the Coca-Cola Football League consists of League One, League Two and the Carling Cup, an annual tournament that matches Football League and Barclays Premier League teams.
