ESPN Network has announced the schedule for the coverage of the 2009 World Baseball Classic beginning March 5. ESPN2 HD, ESPN Deportes, ESPN360.com and ESPN Mobile TV will broadcast the opening game between Japan and China from Tokyo Thursday, March 5, live at 4:30 a.m. ET.
ESPN HD and ESPN2 HD will broadcast 23 games ending with the semifinals on March 21 and 22 and also to bring the final from Los Angeles on March 23.
ESPN Deportes will carry 39 games presenting it to Hisponic subscribers. ESPN International will broadcast up to 39 games in Africa, Asia, Australia, China, Europe, Guam, Japan, Latin America, the Middle East, New Zealand, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
