Ion Media Networks Struck Deal With SES Americom For HD Launch

Ion Media Networks has announced that it has signed a multiyear carriage deal with SES Americom. This deal will allow Ion network to launch its group of channels in HD on SES Americom’s broadcast platforms.

Ion Television in high-definition will be launched before 20th March and other channels like Ion Life and Ion qubo will join later in the year.

Mark Greenlee, Ion Media Networks senior vice president of network operations said “Ion has tapped expanded distribution capacity aboard HD-Prime to offer our programming in a crisp high-definition picture quality to viewers in more than 94 million homes across the country.”
