ION Television To Go HD in 2009

ION Television will be launched in high-definition in the first quarter of next year. ION Media Networks, owner and operator of ION Television has announced this on Monday. Along with ION Television, children’s programming qubo, and lifestyle-related programming network ION Life also to be launched in HD in 2009. ION Media Networks has made all arrangements to bring the new HD simulcast of the channels and the consumers will have a enhanced viewing experience.

ION Television will deliver compelling television series, theatrical and made-for-television movies that also include programs from Sony Pictures Television, Twentieth Television, Warner Bros., CBS Television, NBC Universal and RHI Entertainment. The entertaining networks programming for the fall 2008 also includes network hits including “NCIS,” “Boston Legal” and “ER.” Movies like “Batman Returns,” “GoodFellas,” “Analyze This,” and “You’ve Got Mail” also be available in stunning HD.

“We’ve made significant investments in infrastructure and content to bring excellent picture quality to consumers in time for the digital transition,” said Brandon Burgess, Chairman and CEO, ION Media Networks. “Our viewers in the 94 million homes we serve will enjoy the full benefits of DTV technology.”
