The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles has announced that NBC Sports has received eight primetime Emmy Award nominations for the year 2008-09.

Outstanding Directing for A Variety, Music or Comedy Special
Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety or Music Series or Special
Outstanding Special Class Program
Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video For a Miniseries, Movie or Special
NBC and White Cherry Entertainment are nominated in four categories for the Bruce Springsteen Super Bowl Halftime Show in the following categories:
Outstanding Directing for A Variety, Music or Comedy Special
Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety or Music Series or Special
Outstanding Special Class – Short Format, Live-Action Entertainment Program
Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video For a Miniseries, Movie or Special
